All students (Class of 2012 and later) are required to do 24 hours of Chesed work each year.  Summer hours count toward the upcoming year.  Overall hours are not cumulative.  A minimum of 24 hours is required each year.

Students graduating in 2010 & 2011 are required to complete a total of 96 hours to graduate.

Forms are available in the school office or are downloadable from the website and should be turned in to Mrs. Melissa Rosen.

The school often has Chesed opportunities available that will occur during the school day and count toward the required number of hours. In addition, students wishing to complete hours in their home towns can take advantage of the numerous connections the school has made to facilitate your Chesed work.

All students will be required to fill out a form for the hours performed.  The form requests information regarding the work you have accomplished and a signature from your supervisor.

In addition, we are excited to announce the establishment of the MAYHS Chesed Society. Students who do more than the required number of hours each year will be recognized for their impressive commitment and inducted into the Society for that year.  There will be three levels of recognition for student achievement.

36 Hours: Bronze      54 Hours: Silver        72 Hours and Above: Gold

Membership in the MAYHS Chesed Society is renewable for each year of achievement.
